MEET : 10am near the Bell,
Main Street, Burton Overy

DETAILS : From Burton, we head uphill to Illston on the Hill. Then walk on to join a byway and link up with an old Roman road (Gartree Rd) then turn on to a wooded path back to Burton. Bring a packed lunch.
DISTANCE : 6 miles
TERRAIN : Moderate, hilly in places.
MAP : O/S 233 Leicester & Hinckley
NB : Park near the pub on Main Street or Bell Lane. Also the pub may be temporarily closed so we may have to find a pub in nearby Great Glen for an end of the day drink.
